I Complete the lyrics using participle forms (Present and Past) of the following verbs:

think x2, see, play x2, build, do, go, hurt, obey, stand, come, stay

III Answer these questions

  1. Do you like the song?
  2. How does it make you feel?
  3. How does the singer feel?
  4. Has she tried to make their relationship work?
  5. Why did he break up?
  6. Do you agree with the statement that ’the winner takes it all’?

 

IV Talk to your partner

  • What advice would you give to the singer?
  • What is the best way to deal with break-up?
  • What songs would you recommend to someone with a broken heart?

 

 

 

V Walk around and see what songs your classmates have put on their lists. Try to agree on top five survival songs.
